DEPOSIT POLICY a 50% nonrefundable deposit must be paid in full in order to secure (hold) your appointment. this deposit will be credited to the total of your service the day of your appointment. the remaining 50% must be paid the day service is provided. LATE ARRIVAL POLICY my sessions run on specific time schedules, so unfortunately late arrivals may not receive extensions, however i will perform the massage service for the remainder of your scheduled session if you arrive no later than 10 minutes. if you are 15 minutes late to your scheduled appointment, your appointment will be cancelled and considered a “no show” where you will be charged for 100% of the service. in special cases and when my schedule permits, i may be able to accomodate a partial or full appointment, but this will be at my discretion and only with proper, advanced notification of your late arrival. CANCELLATION/ NO SHOW POLICY i am so happy to have you here! your session time is reserved just for you. i value and respect your business and ask for you to do the same for me. if you need to reschedule or cancel, please notify me at least 24 hours in advance. i understand that life can be unpredictable at times, but i do ask that you contact me 24 hours in advance. the 1st time you cancel, your deposit will be used towards your future rescheduled service. this will only be allowed once. if you cancel twice, you will be charged the cancellation fee of 50% of the service price and the 2nd time a whole new deposit must be paid in order to secure your appointment. clients who no show must pay the remaining service balance in full in order to rebook. if you no show 2 scheduled appointments, you will no longer be able to book with me for future services. special exceptions will be made due to weather and unsafe driving conditions. your safety comes first and i will do everything to accomodate with reschduling your appointment for a time that works for you. CLIENT CONDUCT POLICY i have the right to deny or refuse service to a client. just because i am a massage therapist that does not mean that i have to accept you as my client. if you are problematic, inappropriate, disrespectful, have negative energy, or make me feel uncomfortable at any time i will turn you away. ARRIVAL POLICY if you are a new guest/seeing me for the first time, please arrive 5-10 minutes early to fill out appropriate client forms and paperwork. new client or returning, each session will include up to 10 minutes of consultation/ undressing time which is approximately 5 minutes at the start of your scheduled session and 5 minutes at the end of your scheduled mession. the massage service consist of (20) minutes hands on for a 30 minute service, (50) minutes hands on for a 60 minute service, and (80) minutes hands on for a 90 minute service. all services come with complimentary hot towels and music of your choice. SICKNESS POLICY if having an illness or infection, your service must be cancelled. anything that is contagious will not be allowed in the vicinity. i have listed some common sicknesses that under no circumstance is safe for massage: fever, vomiting, the flu, poison ivy, diarrhea, sore throat, covid, head lice, common cold, shingles, ringworm, impetigo, etc. INFORMED CONSENT prior to each massage, your goals for the massage, possible outcomes of the massage, as well as the treatment will be discussed with you and informed consent must be granted and signed before proceeding. this is to ensure that you have read the information and understand it, and that you agree to comply with the policies and procedures. every session you must grant consent before starting the session, and once a year updated forms must be signed. SCOPE OF PRACTICE massage therapist do not diagnose any illness, pathologies, or physical or mental health disorders. we do not prescribe treatments nor do we do any spinal adjustments. massage therapy is not a substitute for medical attention and it is essential that all health care history given is accurate, true and correct. we are not allowed to provide treatments for specific conditions without a doctors supervision. i am required to refer you for diagnosis and to follow recommendations of your physician. you as the client must keep me informed of any medical treatments or medications currently being taken and provide written permission from you physician, chiropractor, physical therapist, etc that the massage may be continued. RESPECT FOR BOUNDARIES AND CLIENT NEEDS as my client, you have the right to leave on as much or as little clothing as you prefer. proper draping will be used and only the area being worked on will be uncovered. you have the right to speak up during a session if you feel the need to, and you have the right to refuse any massage techniques or to end the session. occasionally, emotional responses to massage occur and in that case you have the right to take a moment for privacy if needed. the discussions between me and you are confidential. you may choose a silent session or to talk during your session. i am here to to provide care, safety, relaxation, comfort, and to make you feel your best! FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS: WHAT DO I WEAR? wear whatever you are comfortable in! during changing time, you can undress to your preferred comfort level. all jewelry, watches, rings, and necklaces should be removed before the hands on portion of the massage start. if wanting a facial massage, i do not recommend wearing any makeup. CAN I TALK/ DO I HAVE TO TALK DURING MY SESSION? feel free to ask for a silent session - meaning chatting is not expected to occur. if you do want to talk, that is okay too! i graduated from iowa state university (23) with a bachelors degree in psychology and minors in communication studies and african american studies .. so i could be a great resource for the ones wanting to converse. the discussions between me and you are confidential. you may choose a silent session or to talk during your session. i am here to to provide care, safety, relaxation, comfort, and to make you feel your best! WHAT SHOULD I DO AT HOME IN BETWEEN MY SESSIONS? in between sessions, stretching is vital and highly highly highly recommended. stretching helps to elongate the muscles, reduce injuries and overall performance. drinking water is necessary and at least 2-3 liters of water every day is important for hydration. eating a balanced diet is also recommended, but there are so many things that can be done. doing what works and feels right for you is important. CAN I WORKOUT AFTER MY MASSAGE? to lengthen benefits, it is recommended that you relax for the rest of the day, however you can work out after if that is what you prefer. a very crucial thing to do before and after a massage is to stay hydrated by drinking lots of water in order to hydrate muscle tissue and flush out toxins.Business Hours
